Gorongosa · Zinave · Limpopo
Wild parks expedition
Africa's most interesting conservation story, lived from the inside.
Overview
Most safari operators skip Mozambique's interior parks — too remote, too 'in progress' for the brochure. They're missing the most interesting story in African conservation. Gorongosa is rebuilding from a near-total collapse during civil war. Zinave is hosting the largest wildlife translocation in African history. Limpopo is the Mozambican half of the Greater Kruger and almost empty of visitors. We move between them by 4×4, with overnights in tented camps and a research-station feel that you don't get on a 7-vehicle game-drive in Sabi Sands.
Sample day-by-day
Every itinerary is rewritten for you. This is an illustrative shape, not a fixed template.
01
Day 1–2 · Gorongosa
Fly to Beira, transfer to Chitengo or the new community camps. Game drives, walks, talks with the rangers.
02
Day 3–4 · Zinave
Drive south. Stay in the park's small camp. Almost certain to share the road with nothing for hours.
03
Day 5–7 · Limpopo
Continue west. Limpopo borders Kruger; we usually finish here to cross over or fly back from Skukuza.
Typically includes
- 4×4 + experienced guide for the duration
- Park fees and conservation levies
- Tented camps and lodge nights
- Most meals
